Software Simulations of Brazed Aluminum Heat Exchangers in an HVACR Application

With the requirement to increase HVACR system efficiencies comes the need for high-performance surface heat exchangers, plus their simulation as compared to present heat exchangers. The up-front time and costs of these simulations are significantly less than the design-build-test cycle of product development.
To demonstrate the HVACR simulation software InstinctCode will:
- Review free community edition tools for specifying the air and refrigerant cycles in the A/C system
- Spec an A/C system
- Design a micro-channel condenser with CycleCode software
- Design an equivalent plate-fin round-tube condenser with CycleCode software
- Simulate a complete A/C system with micro-channel condenser and micro-channel evaporator
- Summarize the advantages of micro-channel heat exchangers in A/C systems. All participants will be provided with links to community software download sites and a one month trial license to a limited edition of CycleCode
